What should I expect on my first session?
Prepare to get moving! Please wear comfortable attire that allows easy access to the injured body part. For dancers, we recommend leotards, or sport bras with form-fitting shirts and shorts. If you're coming in for a pointe evaluation, don't forget your pointe shoes and accessories!
How long are sessions?
Sessions are approximately 60 minutes long, conducted one-on-one with our Doctor of Physical Therapy, Hilary.
How often will I have sessions?
For most clients experiencing pain, we typically start with 1 session per week for 6 weeks. As progress is made, session frequency may decrease to every other week or even every 3-4 weeks. Your session frequency will be discussed and adjusted accordingly with Hilary during your initial session.
Do I need a prescription or referral from my doctor to come see you for Physical Therapy?
No referral or prescription is required to see us. California allows direct access to Physical Therapy services for up to 45 calendar days or 12 sessions without a doctor's referral.
Do you accept my health insurance?
We are considered an “Out-of-Network Provider” which means that we are not contracted with any health insurances, also known as “Cash-Based”. However, we do provide a superbill (receipt) that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. We recommend calling your insurance provider to get your policy’s specific reimbursement rate. Below is a pdf that will help you ask the right questions during your call; please contact us if you need help or would like more information.
How is my session different with an out-of-network provider?
Being "Out-of-Network" allows us to prioritize high-quality, personalized care tailored to your needs, rather than being restricted by insurance protocols.
How much do you charge & how can I pay?
Please reach out to us for pricing details. We offer single-session pricing and discounted packages. Payment for all session types can be made via cash, check, Zelle, Venmo, Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, Debit Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. HSA/FSA cards are also accepted but only for physical therapy appointments.
Is my six year old too young for physical therapy treatment or dance conditioning?
Not at all! We welcome clients of all ages and fitness levels!
I do not dance and wouldn’t consider myself athletic, can I still receive care?
Of course! We love working with anyone who is eager to work hard, collaborate, and be proactive!
Do I have to be in pain to start seeing you?
Nope! We perform dance specific evaluations and fitness evaluations for individuals who would like to be proactive. For our dancers and non-dancers alike, we look at anatomy, muscle strength/weakness, technique, movement patterns, training schedule and goals. Give us a call to get more information!
What if I want to keep seeing my Physical Therapist after my plan of care ends?
We would love to continue working with you! We offer ongoing services such as Dance Conditioning, Pilates and Wellness Programs, tailored to your fitness goals.
What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly request 24-hour notice for cancellations or reschedules. Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice will incur a $240 charge separate of any purchased packages.
